If you’re calling Bruce, it’s usually because the deal’s not straightforward.
That’s exactly where he does his best work.
He’s not here to dress things up or talk in circles. He’s here to figure out if it can be done – and if it can, get it done.
Q & A with Elliott…
- What type of client do you find yourself going to bat for most often?
I’ll always fight for a client who’s trying to get back up on their feet or trying to get a fresh start. Sometimes things happen that are outside of your control that just absolutely obliterate your credit score. When you’re trying to put things back together you need someone who understands that.
- Walk us through what a “good ARG deal” looks like to you.
If I can discern what kind of economic opportunity a vehicle is going to unlock for a client, that’s an easy deal. If you put a courier into a van or a tradie into a ute, they’re going to be able to generate more income. On the other hand, if you put that same courier or tradie into a ferrari they’ll look really cool, but they very likely won’t be making more money because of it.
- Fast Lane or Standard Product – which do you find yourself using more, and why?
I’m a big fan of the in-stock assets since the client only needs 6% as an upfront payment. But on the occasions where one of our in-stock assets aren’t suitable for a client then it’s usually Standard Product.
- What do you wish brokers knew before sending you a deal?
Understanding that we don’t have an “interest rate.” We are a Rent To Buy solution. Ultimately the clients who are a good fit for ARG can’t secure a loan so their options are doing a dry rental or doing Rent To Buy.
- In the first 60 seconds of a call, what does a broker need to tell you for you to know it’s an ARG deal?
I always ask the same three and a half questions: What do they do for work, what vehicle do they need, and what does their credit file look like? If their credit file is looking rough I’ll also ask why.
- What’s your karaoke anthem – the one you’d belt out if we forced you on stage?
I want to know what love is. By Foreigner
- If you were a ute, which make or model would you be – and why?
Bro what?
- When Monday’s chaos, what’s your go-to coffee order?
I’m chronically addicted to energy drinks. A sugar free white monster is where I get my caffeine.
- What’s something people wouldn’t expect?
I’m an actor and I volunteer on a lot of student short films. I’ve also been in a handful of tv shows and movies.
Want to run a deal?
If the banks have said ‘no’, that doesn’t always mean it’s over.
Give Elliott a call and run it past him – you’ll know pretty quickly where you stand.
