Not all businesses start with a clear plan.
Some start with just a ute, a phone, and a dream.
Those are the ones we serve.
They don’t have a file full of all the right answers. But they have work lined up right now, today, and no vehicle to get to it.
They’re the ones who’ve been told ‘no’ so many times they’ve started to believe it. The ones rebuilding after life went sideways. And the ones who arrived in this country with everything to prove and nothing on paper to prove it with.
The financial system has one idea of who deserves a go.
ARG has another.
Banks and lenders see a file. We see a business.
The financial system makes decisions based on the past.
Credit history. Trading history. Bank statements. Financials. It doesn’t matter how much work you have lined up, how hard you’re willing to push, or how capable you are of earning. If your past tells a tidy story, you’re in. If it doesn’t, you’re out.
But these people aren’t broke, they’re blocked.
Which is why ARG makes decisions based on the future.
One question sits at the centre of everything we do: can this person earn with this vehicle in front of them? If the answer is yes, we do our best to find a way to say ‘yes’ too.
We focus on who you are and what you’re capable of earning, not on what went wrong in the past. A new ABN – even one that’s a day old – doesn’t disqualify you. Neither does a financial setback, a messy credit file, or income that doesn’t arrive in neat monthly instalments.
And when we back someone, they don’t just earn an income – they build something.
A removalist with a van becomes a removalist business. A tradie with a ute takes on a second job, then a third. A contractor who needed a vehicle to get started becomes an operator who employs people, pays tax, and puts money back into their community.
Every time ARG says ‘yes’, it doesn’t just change one person’s situation – it fuels a business, and often several livelihoods.
We're not a last resort. We're the first believers.
Most lenders will tell you what they can’t do.
Good thing we’re not a lender, so we start with what we can…
We built our Rent To Buy solution specifically around light commercial vehicles – utes, vans, small trucks, and trailers – because these are the assets that put people to work. The vehicles that tradies, contractors, delivery operators, and small business owners need to earn a living every single day.
It works like this. ARG owns the vehicle. The client rents it and uses it to work, earn, and build their business. The rental agreement runs for five years, and from the twelve-month mark, the client has the option to purchase. That option price reduces every year. Some clients buy early. Some buy at the end of the term. Some simply need the vehicle for the duration, and reassess when the time comes.
What matters is that they’re working. From day one.
There are no loans here. No interest rates buried in fine print. No General Security Agreements. No All Property Asset Pledges. The terms are fixed, transparent, and predictable – because people who are rebuilding or just getting started need to know exactly where they stand.
And knowing where you stand changes everything. These aren’t just rental agreements. They’re somebody’s turning point.
Some businesses only exist because ARG said ‘yes’.
We could spend all day talking about how Rent To Buy works, listing criteria, walking you through the process, and telling you what we do.
But Safua’s story explains it so much better.
Safua runs Saresa Pty Ltd, a removalist business in Sydney. When banks and lenders looked at his file – a low credit score and a couple of past setbacks – they said ‘no’.
We looked at where he was going, and we said ‘yes’.
A few months later, content creators from Misfit Minds hired him for a job: move someone’s belongings. Except the “home” they were moving was a tent in a park, and the person living in it was pretending to be homeless.
This was meant to be a prank. And most people would have walked away from it. But Safua rolled up his sleeves, moved the tent, and then did something nobody expected…
He offered the ‘homeless’ man a place to stay in his own home.
The internet found out and went wild. Millions of people watched. Hundreds of thousands commented, some calling for “Safua for president”.
That’s the kind of person ARG backs.
We had no idea he’d do that. But we believed in what he was building – and people who are building something tend to be the ones who give back when they can.
Then there’s a client ARG has backed not once, not twice, but three times. A gardener. Running his business, two vehicles already into his journey with ARG, on top of every payment.
When he needed a third ute for a worker, his credit score was still under 250 and he had $2,464 in defaults.
Didn’t matter.
We backed him again with a $41,860 VW Amarok, through Rent To Buy.
When the vehicle arrived, he sent his ARG BDM a message.
“Brand new mowing trailer that’s getting stickers this weekend beside it all ready to roll out and rock the summer 🙂 my family and I are very greatfull for all the help you have provided in setting up our business mate, your bloods worth bottlln“
These aren’t isolated moments. This is what it looks like when a business is built around a single belief – that the right person, at the right moment, deserves a go.
Tara had been turned away so many times she’d started to expect it. “I have been discriminated with a lot of other companies,” she wrote in her review. At ARG, she found something different.
Matthew got his start-up vehicle sorted in the middle of the Christmas rush. His last line: “Lanky Services is now ready to roll.”
And Jake, who had tried everything before he found us, was in his own truck eleven days after his first call. He ended his review with six words that explain it all:
“If you just need someone to give you a chance.“
That’s why we exist.
Not to process applications or move metal.
But to give people a chance when others won’t – and watch what they do with it.
