ARG GIVES YOU TWO WAYS TO GET YOUR BUSINESS MOVING

RENT TO BUY

  • You choose your vehicle/s to suit your driving needs including any unique specifications for the price you can afford.
  • ARG will calculate the offer based on an agreed value for the asset. In most cases the renter will pay the difference to purchase price as their first rental payment, or they will provide additional unencumbered assets as security to cover the cost difference.
  • ARG will source the appropriate vehicle and/or equipment within your price range via one of our accredited dealers.
  • Once the contract is established, you make an initial loan commencement payment followed by weekly payments for the remainder of your contract term.
  • During the rental term, all operating costs are payable by the renter including: registration, insurance, servicing and maintenance.

RENT TO OWN CUSTOMER EXAMPLE

PETER – Start-up sole trader truck driver

Peter decided to start his own truck driving business. He needs a truck but doesn’t have the cash to buy one.

Peter is currently paid $80k per year as a truck driver at ABC Deliveries, but one day he is offered a job as an independent driver on a contract worth $150k a year. Peter will need to buy his own truck if he wants the job.

Peter doesn’t have enough money for the truck and although he has no bad debt, he also doesn’t own his own house, and he has no lending history. He realises the banks and other lenders will not lend him the money.

Peter can use the ARG ‘Rent to Own’ option, with the opportunity to buy at a price that steps down each year, throughout the rental period.

The ARG solution

  • ARG sources the truck within Peter’s price range, via one of their accredited dealers.
  • The contract offer is calculated based on an agreed value for the truck.
  • Peter pays the difference to purchase price as his first rental payment, as he has no unencumbered assets as security to cover the cost difference.
  • Peter makes an initial loan commencement payment.
  • Peter makes weekly payments for the remainder of his contract term.

SALE & RENT BACK

  • Unlock the equity in depreciating vehicle assets, and put that cash towards working capital.
  • You send ARG your vehicle details, and we’ll appraise its market value against comparable assets.
  • Once the contract is established, you make an initial loan commencement payment followed by weekly payments for the remainder of your contract term.
  • During the rental term, all operating costs are payable by the renter including: registration, insurance, servicing and maintenance.

SALE & RENT BACK CUSTOMER EXAMPLE

TONY – Established small business owner

Tony owns AAA Trucking, a linehaul trucking business operating between Sydney and Melbourne, with two trucks and revenue of $700k a year.

Tony has recently spent a lot of money on his daughter’s wedding but has since fallen behind on his tax payments and AAA Trucking now owes $90k to the ATO.

Tony is seeking a $90k loan from the bank, but they have turned him down after discovering that he is behind on his tax.

Tony visited a broker to ask for advice, and was informed that other lenders will also refuse him due to his tax debt.

Tony can use the ARG Sale & Rent Back option to raise the funds needed to pay his tax obligations.

The ARG solution

  • ARG buys one of Tony’s trucks, and Tony signs a 5 year lease to rent it for his trucking business.
  • Tony pays off his $90k debt with the ATO, using the cash from ARG.
  • Now that Tony is free from his tax debt, his broker advises him he can take a loan out from a bank.
  • Tony takes out a loan from his bank, for the value outstanding on his ARG truck and buys it back.
  • Tony uses steady revenue from AAA Trucking to repay his loan with the bank at a lower interest rate than his ARG lease.
